Westward Expansion Day 3

Just 312 miles today. Still, we made it from Davenport, IA to Omaha, NE. One of my people had some work to do today, so we spent some time at “Iowa 80” – the world’s largest truck stop where I charged and became a mobile office. The rest of the family went off to see the trucking museum. I wonder when one of my siblings will be featured there as the first electric pickup truck to market?

Westward Expansion Day 2

Day 2 was just another day on the road. NOT! OK, so we did go over 500 miles today, so it was certainly, another day on the road, but not just any day. The terrain started to change. No longer the foothills or verdant green forests we traversed yesterday. The roads started to straighten out and flatten. But today was a family day. After I took my people to see some of their family in central, IL, I got to go back to my birthplace!

Westward Expansion Day 1

It took my people a while to get ready to go this morning. I was ready first thing, but they kept finding things that they needed to pack up. I was worried that they were going to fill every spot and then some, but I actually had plenty of additional room. I was clean. I got my QuikrStuff rack on and loaded up with bikes and we were off! We ended up not going that far at first though.

Shenandoah National Park and Trying Tesla

Today, my people wanted to go to the Bearfence Rock Scramble, so I took them to Shenandoah National Park. On the way, we decided to try to charge up at a Tesla Supercharger. I was a little nervous. My people have requested the official CCS/NACS adapter through Rivian, but it looks like it’s still a long way out. So, they got a third-party adapter from A2Z as they seemed like one of the most reputable and highest precision adapters available on the open market.

I Take a Bath

I love getting to take a bath! I always feel so shiny and clean. I had the good folks from A & E Mobile Detailing come by and give me a good scrub inside and out. I feel like a new truck again. I’m getting ready for my big road trip and this is an exciting step.

A Yard for a Yard

I went to the garden center today. My people weren’t sure if I could haul a full yard of mulch. But yes, yes, I can. Fortunately, the loader operator was quite skilled, so not much was dropped. My people did kind of wish they’d brought a tarp along, though.

Boys Like Trucks

One of my people went to see friends with younger children. The boy loved me, and we had a great time together. He climbed all over. We even played Jedi mind tricks where I’d open and close my frunk just by the power of thought, and maybe a little help from the mobile app.

Cleaning up my Bedroom

When I got to my new home, I discovered that my bedroom was pretty crowded. Fortunately, my family helped me clean things out and I got to do “truck things” pretty early on! Here I am cleaning out my bedroom and hauling stuff to donate to Habitat, sell, or eventually just take to the dump.
