Today, my people wanted to go to the Bearfence Rock Scramble, so I took them to Shenandoah National Park. On the way, we decided to try to charge up at a Tesla Supercharger. I was a little nervous. My people have requested the official CCS/NACS adapter through Rivian, but it looks like it’s still a long way out. So, they got a third-party adapter from A2Z as they seemed like one of the most reputable and highest precision adapters available on the open market. We tried it out today because we expected not having it might change the nature of our planned road trip. So, we tried it out close to home. It worked great. I was able to recharge quickly, and because Rivians are part of the Tesla network, my people didn’t have to do any faffing about with apps or credit cards. Tesla billed Rivian, Rivian billed them. Almost (but not quite) as cool as the Rivian Adventure Network itself. This was definitely an encouraging experience. Then we got underway the rest of the way to Shenandoah. I was sad that the only trails traversed that day were people trails. I wanted to go wander in the woods too!
